(Sturgis, SD) — Sturgis Police say they arrested a student for having a gun on campus at Brown High School. Meade School District Superintendent Wayne Wormstadt says he is thankful that students reported the classmate to the proper authorities. The student was arrested by a school resource officer before police arrived on the scene. Information about the incident is being withheld due to the suspect being a juvenile. Evidence and interviews are being submitted to the state’s attorney’s office.
