(Bismarck, ND) — Wildfire smoke is causing hazy skies and poor air quality across North Dakota. It’s deja vu for those who dealt with smoke from last year’s Canadian wildfires, but this year is a little different, with fires burning in the western U.S. as well as Canada. The Department of Environmental Quality says the smoke can be hazardous for children, the elderly, and people with lung conditions, and recommends that they limit their time outdoors.
