Republican Keri Heintzeman Wins Special Election For Minnesota Senate Seat

(Undated) — Republican Keri Heintzeman is the new Minnesota state senator in the 6th District. She won Tuesday’s special election to fill the vacant seat that was created by former GOP legislator Justin Eichorn. He resigned after he was arrested in an underage prostitution sting. Heintzeman defeated Democrat Denise Slipy by nearly 21 percentage points. District 6 covers parts of Cass, Crow Wing, and Itasca counties.
