(Washington, DC) — North Dakota Governor Kelly Armstrong says the federal government must continue to play a part in transportation infrastructure funding. He went before a U.S. Senate Committee to say robust funding in highways is critical to a rural state like his, so that connections between small communities can be maintained. He’s asking policymakers to make it even easier for states to get infrastructure projects done by increasing the percentage of dollars distributed by a formula. This comes as the U.S. Senate constructs the Surface Transportation Reauthorization Bill.
