Severe Storms Bring Tornado Reports, Hail, And High Winds To Region

(Undated) — Severe storms moved through South Dakota last night, bringing several tornado and funnel cloud reports, hail, and winds over 80 miles an hour. At least one tornado touched down in Gregory County but no reports of injuries so far. Tornado and storm watches remained in effect through at least 1 a.m. for areas in the eastern part of the state. While the worst of the weather has passed, a few morning showers could be coming down for some before skies clear for the day. Cleanup efforts are going to be underway today across southeast South Dakota, northwest Iowa, and southwest Minnesota as conditions calm from yesterday’s active weather.
