(Bismarck, ND) — Youth deer hunting season is approaching across North Dakota. Licensed hunters between the ages of 11 and 13 may shoot an antlerless deer, while 14 and 15-year-olds are allowed to shoot a buck. A parent or guardian without a firearm must accompany all youth hunters at all times. The youth deer season begins September 19th and will run for 10 days statewide. Any youth hunters who are unsuccessful during their season are allowed to participate in regular deer season between November 7th and the 23rd.
