(Morton County, ND) — A man is facing charges after forcing a standoff and setting a house on fire. Morton County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a trespassing complaint northwest of Mandan on Friday. When deputies entered the home they found a 46-year-old armed man and one deputy fired his weapon. After SWAT formed a perimeter around the house, deputies allege the man set the house on fire before he was taken into custody. The fire was eventually extinguished but the home was destroyed.
