(Custer County, SD) — Officials say the Qury Fire in Custer County has burned more than 91-hundred acres. The fire was at 27-percent containment as of 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Control lines have been holding, according to fire officials, but road closures remain in place south of Wind Cave National Park. Residential areas were reopened for those who have been issued an Orange Card by Custer County Emergency Management. The community is finding ways to support the firefighters with free meals being provided by Miner’s Cup restaurant and several churches providing shelter.
