South Dakota Welcomes Back Air National Guard Soldiers

(Sioux Falls, SD) — Airmen in the 114th Fighter Wing of the Air National Guard returned to South Dakota this week. The unit was deployed for months in Savannah, Georgia as part of Operation Noble Eagle. The operation supports NORAD’s mission to protect airspace in the U.S. and Canada. The unit was treated to a special ceremony on Sunday morning. Major General Mark Morrell, Governor Larry Rhoden, Senate Majority Leader John Thune and Representative Dusty Johnson were all on hand to deliver remarks during the ceremony on Sunday.
