Minot City Council Approves Capital Improvement Plan

(Minot, ND) — The Minot City Council is approving a Capital Improvement Plan worth 880-million dollars. The bulk of the plan is for flood control, which takes up about 600-million of the 880-million-dollar plan. Other funds are being set aside for the engineering, police, and airport departments. Officials say the majority of the funds are from federal and state sources, while some funding for flood control and other large projects comes from the state sales tax. The state used some reserve funding for water and sewer repairs as well.
