Capitol Hosting Peace Officer Memorial Service

(Bismarck, ND) — A memorial service honoring fallen law enforcement officers is planned at the State Capitol. The annual ceremony will recognize 69 peace officers who were killed in the line of duty in state history. Governor Armstrong, Attorney General Drew Wrigley, and Chief Justice Lisa Fair McEvers are scheduled speakers. Armstrong also ordered flags to be flown at half staff Thursday while the Capitol windows display a Thin Blue Line tribute. Honor guards and chaplains will participate in the public ceremony Thursday at 7 p.m. in Memorial Hall.
