On Wednesday evening, the state held a public meeting on recommended alternatives for replacing the bridge. The latest study aims to improve traffic operations, increase capacity, reduce driver confusion, and maintain a uniform freeway system. Engineers say they may not need to spend the money to build a new bridge if they can improve its structure. It’s a project that would likely be tackled in stages.
