Strong Winds Affect Travel in Northwest North Dakota

(Williston, ND) –This week’s high winds and reduced visibility are blamed for numerous crashes across the northwestern part of the state and causing delays for some school buses. The state patrol says one crash on Highway 85 in Williams County happened when there was almost no visibility. The strong winds also prompted several cancellations. The Williston Park District delayed tomorrow’s groundbreaking for the Williston Municipal Golf Course expansion. It will now take place on Tuesday, May 26. The park district also canceled several outdoor activities on Thursday, including in-house Cal Ripken and youth softball, as well as adult softball and soccer.
