(Bon Homme County, SD) — Heavy rain, large hail and wind damage has people in Bon Homme County scrambling to recover. Residents say tornado sirens were going off outside and on alerts through their phones. One resident went out looking for downed power lines but found an entire hog facility heavily damaged instead. Sean Whitwood says he found tin and wood from his barn spread out all across his field. He says his neighbor’s whole house was destroyed. While power has been restored to the county since the storm, many residents are still figuring out how to rebuild and help each other during a difficult stretch.
