(Bismarck, ND) — Larimore Farmer Dave Rustebakke will fill a state House seat vacated by Jared Hagert. Hagert resigned in February to take a job with the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Farm Service Agency. Rustebakke was selected on Saturday by a committee of Republicans representing District 20. The seat will be up for election in November and Rustebakke says he plans to run to serve the remainder of the term, which expires in 2028. Rustebakke says he is planning to retire from farming soon and is looking for new challenges.
