Circuit Court Judge Steps Down To Run for Attorney General

(Sturgis, SD) — Circuit Court Judge John Fitzgerald is stepping down from his position to campaign for Attorney General. Fitzgerald made the announcement in a press release that he would be trying to earn the Republican nomination for AG. The position is being vacated by Marty Jackley who is running for a seat in the House of Representatives. Fitzgerald graduated from Black Hills State University and the South Dakota School of Law. He was elected as a Fourth Circuit Judge in November of 2022.
