Hutchinson County, S.D.- A Bridgewater, South Dakota woman has died after a car-semi truck crash Tuesday near Freeman, South Dakota.
It happened around 11:30 a.m. at the intersection of 435th Avenue and Highway 44. The 77-year-old woman driving an SUV was heading northbound and was hit by the semi-truck traveling westbound. She was wearing a seatbelt but still died from her injuries. Highway 44 was closed for several hours as detectives conducted an investigation.
Names of the those involved have not been released pending notification of family members. The investigation is ongoing.
