Rapid City Man Arrested For Threatening Police With Metal Rod

(Rapid City, SD) — A Rapid City man is facing charges for allegedly threatening officers with a metal rod. The incident happened around 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday when police responded to a disturbance call at an apartment on Atlas Street. A woman allowed officers into one of the apartments where a man was holding the rod above his head and issuing threats. Officers deployed a taser in order to get 43-year-old Benjamin Longwolf to comply with requests. Longwolf is now facing charges of aggravated assault and outstanding warrants.
