South Dakota Public University Enrollment Holds

(Pierre, SD) — Four of South Dakota’s six public universities are seeing more students this fall. New numbers show Black Hills State, Dakota State, Northern State, and South Dakota State all posting gains. Enrollment dipped slightly at USD and School of Mines. Altogether, the headcount is holding steady at just over 36-thousand students — the same as last year — following a big bump in 2023.
