(Lead, SD) — A man from Lead is facing domestic assault charges against an elderly victim. Police say Mickey Yost was arrested for assault and violating court orders for a knife attack against an elderly man on Miners Avenue. Yost was still holding the knife when officers arrived and they had to disarm him with less-lethal force before taking him into custody. Authorities say the victims of the attack were able to lock themselves in a back room while waiting for officers to arrive. They said an elderly man suffered cuts and lacerations and one officer was injured during the apprehension but the injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
