(Mandan, ND) — Former Game and Fish Director Terry Steinwand is no longer facing gross sexual imposition charges. The court dismissed charges against Steinwand last week after he was arrested for allegedly touching a child inappropriately. He could have faced life in prison if he was convicted. Two previous attempts to settle the case with a plea agreement were rejected by a Morton County judge last month. Prosecutors say it is up to the state to determine if the case will be tried again.
