(Minot, ND) — The Minot Air Force Base is expecting to undergo five-billion-dollars worth of changes. The news comes from Commander Khary Davis during a meeting earlier this month. The construction projects are expected to take place over a ten-year period and include modernizing inter ballistic missile and cruise missile capabilities. Officials believe 71 technical experts will be needed to complete the projects. An economic impact assessment of the base shows it contributed more than 950-million dollars to the local economy in the last fiscal year.
