Do-Not-Use Advisory Remains In Finley

Water service has been restored in Finley, North Dakota after nearly five days without it.

City officials say water began flowing again Wednesday, but residents are still being told not to drink or use it for bathing or cooking until it’s declared safe.

The outage affected about 400 people and forced some residents to travel to nearby communities for basic needs like showers.

Officials say the issue was traced to a water main break in Sharon, with a repair problem preventing water from reaching Finley.

Residents are now being asked to flush their systems as testing continues. Full clearance on water safety could come as soon as later this week.
