Farm Bill Passes U.S. House

(Washington, DC) — House lawmakers passed the farm bill on Thursday. North Dakota congresswoman Julie Fedorchak was one of 224 lawmakers who voted in favor of the measure, saying it will strengthen the farm safety net for producers and give them the tools they need to manage risk, invest in their operations, and plan for the future. The measure, which contains updates to commodities, trade, and rural development, now heads to the Senate.
