Centerville Man Found Guilty In Triple-Homicide To Be Sentenced

(Centerville, SD) — A South Dakota man found guilty of triple-murder will learn his fate this week. A McCook County jury convicted Jay Ostrem of three counts of first-degree murder in the 2024 killing spree that shocked the Centerville community. Prosecutors say the victims were killed at a residence late at night. Ostrem faces life in prison without parole when he’s sentenced on Thursday.
