Woman Convicted In Mother’s Death Released From Jail

(Rapid City, SD) — A Rapid City woman accused of manslaughter in her mother’s death is out of jail. Taylor Bird Horse pleaded no contest to second degree manslaughter charges on April 2nd in the stabbing death of her mother. She was placed on probation for 10 years and released from jail on Wednesday. Police say Bird Horse stabbed her mother during a fight on Maple Avenue on April 7th and an infection to the stab wound later led to her mother’s death three days later. If Bird Horse violates her probation, she will be sent to prison for a maximum of ten years.
