Road Safety Billboards Designed By Fourth Graders Going Up In South Dakota

(Pierre, SD) — Some kids are helping to get the word out about roadway safety in South Dakota. The state Department of Transportation and road construction contractors have selected eight winning designs for a work zone safety poster contest. Fourth graders submitted the drawings and now the top designs will be turned into billboards that will go up across the state. The messages remind driver to slow down and keep an eye out for road crews during this year’s construction season.
