$232 Million in Upgrades Planned for Minot Air Force Base

(Minot, ND) — The federal government is about to pump 232 million dollars into upgrades on Minot Air Force Base. It’s all part of President Trump’s 2027 budget request. The plans include building a 130-thousand square foot complex for the Security Force’s armory, training, administrative and storage spaces. The 108-million-dollar complex will merge seven buildings into one. The proposal also supports a vehicle maintenance facility to combine five buildings into two. Once completed, Senator John Hoeven said it will nearly triple the number of vehicles to be maintained, from 500 to 14-hundred. The Sentinel ICBM will replace the aging Minuteman III missiles in Minot, as well as at bases in Montana and Wyoming.
