(Yankton, SD) — Authorities say a Chicago man is responsible for a pursuit that ended in Yankton County. Elijah Darrell Lane is facing charges of eluding and aggravated assault against a law enforcement officer. Officials say Lane did not stop when a deputy tried to pull him over on Thursday night. After crashing his vehicle, Lane allegedly ran from it and was later caught by police. He was also wanted for a simple assault warrant in Minnehaha County.
