(Sioux Falls, SD) — A Sioux Falls man is facing charges for trying to stab an ambulance worker. The incident happened on Saturday when the ambulance was called to East Arrowhead Parkway and South Foss Avenue. A man was reportedly having a medical event and when EMS arrived to treat the man, he pulled out a knife and ran away. The man was found by an EMS employee close by and came within inches of stabbing the employee before police arrived to detain the suspect. He was identified as Spencer Thomas and he is being charged with aggravated assault, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
