(Fargo, ND) — The ballots for the June 9th primary have already been printed and sent out, so State Representative Liz Conmy’s name will remain, and votes for her will still be counted. The Fargo democrat was killed in a plane crash in Minnesota Saturday. Conmy and Anastassiya Andrianova are the only two candidates on the primary ballot. The Secretary of State says candidates who want to run have until May 19th to file as a write-in for the primary. The top two vote-getters will advance to the general election. Others can run as independent candidates in November. Incumbent Gretchen Dobervich is not seeking re-election. The District 11 Democratic NPL has three weeks to nominate someone to serve the remainder of Conmy’s current term, which runs through the end of November.
