(Sioux Falls, SD) — Officials say the two suspects involved in an officer-involved shooting on Monday are parolees. Darren Reuben Richards is being charged with nine crimes, including attempted murder of a law enforcement officer. He is being accused of shooting an officer near 12th Street and Lyons Avenue. The second suspect was identified as Loretta Elizabeth Bettelyoun who is being charged with robbery and accessory to a crime. Investigators are looking at three crime scenes: where the officer was shot, where the two suspects crashed a stolen vehicle after a pursuit, and where the suspects were taken into custody.
