(Hill City, SD) — A man reported missing in Pennington County earlier this month is now confirmed dead. The local sheriff’s office says the body of 86-year-old Ronald Blanchard was discovered on Tuesday night near Deerfield Road. Authorities had been searching for Blanchard since he was first reported missing on April 6th. Investigators say there are no signs of foul play so far. An autopsy will be conducted.
