(Rapid City, SD) — The Rapid City Building Services Report shows a record-setting April for building permit valuations. Officials say 212 permits were issued last month with a combined valuation over 92-point-seven-million dollars. The previous high for April was 55 million in 2021. A bulk of the money came from a permit issued to Black Hills Power for an engine hall and fire pump house at the Black Hills Energy Lange two Power Plant. It is the city’s third-largest single permit valuation ever approved by the city.
